We had a wonderful 'high tea' with delicious sandwiches and cakes, in beautiful mixed bone China. The setting is gorgeous and the staff were kind and lovely.You need to book prior to arrival for the high tea , but on the day was possible.thank you for a wonderful treat ?

A lovely place for a pit stop after visiting Wells cathedral today (although access can also be gained without going through the main cathedral entrance).It's quite a while since we've been, so we shunned the coffee shop chains to support local enterprise.It's light and airy, prettily decorated and the beautifully made cakes and slices on offer definately attracted our attention.The catering staff are lovely and hot drinks and food are delivered to your table once ordered, so...read full review

If you're visiting the cathedral, and you fancy a bite to eat then this place is perfect.Nothing fancy, but well cooked food - as locally sourced as possible, I believe.It is a little pricey - £6.50 for a jacket potato with cheese is a little on the steep side, but I'm sure all the profits go back into the cathedral, so it's a good way of being able to give back.Staff are friendly and polite. Give it a try.
