A real unmodernised, small, dark, country inn, food mostly sold out when we arrived, unbooked, on a Sunday. Full of locals babbling away happily.Got to go back for another try. (They won't take bookings) so we'll just have to arrive earlier!

Read a news article online a couple of years ago showcasing the ploughmans. Went for lunch with a friend and what a lovely old pub. Full of character, great atmosphere, friendly staff and customers. Being chefs, my friend and I are particular, couldn't fault the food at all. Will definitely be back. Thank you.

A real hidden Gem! Messed up our sons Jacket Potato order slightly but we're happy to compensate accordingly. Also, don't ask gor a side of chips, you'll get told off. ?

I'd heard good things about this pub, so my wife and I thought we'd head there for a drink and a small lunch - what a place! A beautiful old building oozing character, friendly and helpful staff and a comprehensive cider list were the first impressions - a good start. I had a rare beef sandwich, which was utterly delicious - perfectly cooked micro-thin slices of tasty beef in very generous quantities. My wife had the soup of the day - Curried Parsnip, which went down very well indeed. Will definitely be back, probably at a quieter time than Saturday lunchtime, as it was pretty busy, but no great surprise there for such a gem!

The Crown is my local, and I am so lucky to have this absolute gem in my life. The staff, the food and drinks the pub itself and the atmosphere are what I base a great pub on. It's just great, I love it ?❤️

Outstanding country pub with lots of history and set in a lovely idyllic area. We both went for the Ploughman’s which were huge, fresh and the best around town!! Finished with a delicious Knickerbocker glory and Bannofee Pie Even better we’re the fresh pints - Otter Ale a favourite Great service from Lottie and Sam who were really attentive and friendly Will be back!!
