We stayed at the hotel at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, and had a very pleasant evening meal here. The food was good and our waitress Emily A was excellent, attentive but not over the the top, would visit again.

Came here for an evening meal as we were staying in the Hex Hotel. Nice relaxing bistro (not very busy) Food was cooked to perfection and tasted great. Good drinks selection and the service provided by the staff was good too. Looking forward to returning for another meal in the near future.

Overpriced afternoon tea, had better elsewhere for half the price. Our waitress was lovely but another was very rude to my partner and

This was our third visit and previously it has been really good.It was very busy today but the service was lacking. Everybody had to wait or had to remind about orders. The food however was as good as always.

Staff polite but service poor due to lack of staff for seat covers. Don't think we will try this place again

We visited the Bistro for the first time yesterday as family of 6, with 2 children and it was really lovely. The place itself is beautiful and clean. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was great. Very efficent service from start to finish. Visited the Evolution restaurant many times due to having small children but would definitely return to the Bistro.

I can't comment on the food/drinks because I've never managed to get that far. I've called in a few times, been turned away because they weren't doing drop-ins and this morning I've been totally ignored by the staff and left. This isn't the first time this has happened. Go to Cornerstone's they are friendly, the food is good and they want your business.

Update 14/12/2023Popped in for breakfast - buffet breakfast all you can eat £13.95 very nice ? good service ?We visited here for afternoon tea. It was a Sunday and 14:00. The place was pretty empty thus very quiet. The food was ok, but for 16/17£ per person I felt it was missing something. Perhaps a few more sandwiches, better salad side, rather than all those bought in cakes.I will stick to the standard menu next time. The place itself is very clean and the ambience/setting inside is great, it has so much potential! It just needs a rethink, some money injecting into the menu / kitchen to allow the chefs to provide something unique that matches the fantastic setting.Toilets were super clean, and good baby change and disabled ? within the restaurant. Good wheelchair access and seating available.

We arrived at the bistro after a lovely day in the wildlife park our table was booked for 17.15 and we had 2 hours to dine before we were back off into the park for the winter illuminations this should have been plenty of time……..I was wrong!!First impressions were great we were seated straight away and had our drinks order taken these arrived quite promptly so thank you to the bar man who looked like he was in his own cocktail movie behind the bar. We waited over 15 minutes to order meanwhile about 5 other tables were seated and they all ordered before we did!! The young waitress was either new or very inexperienced when it came to prioritising customers. When we did ordered, 2 starters and a kids meal we asked for that to come at the same time as our granddaughter was getting hungry. The starters were out pretty quickly but we had to ask for the kiddies meal as they had forgotten. The Camembert cheese starter was probably the best meal of the evening however the bread was un toasted and the roasted garlic was not roasted at all. I always though bruschetta was toasted maybe I’m wrong because the prawn starter was just on bread!!This was where we seemed to be forgotten we finished our starter and no one was interested in clearing them away after what seemed like ages and we were now 18.20 I asked a young man who seemed very surprised to take away the empty plates and asked if they could bring the main courses. Maybe that was my mistake, maybe he didn’t inform the kitchen because we then waited over 30 minutes for 1 burger, 2 chicken burgers and a halloumi baguette!! I even asked twice how long it was going to be to be told the kitchen was very busy. Now I’m sorry but I don’t believe you as by this point most customers had left including the tables that came in after us so why did we have to wait so long and let me say it was not even worth the wait!! All of the burgers were cold and the halloumi which I thought may have been nicely grilled and bursting with pesto flavour sadly had seen no grill and had no pesto at all I could have made better at home. We were so disappointed and it really wasn’t worth the money or the wait!!

Spent all day at the wildlife park, first stop before we entered was to make a booking at Wilds Cafe bistro for tea later in the day before winter illuminations but told we didnt need to book. Just been back now and informed we have to book to eat there so not at all happy. Family of 6 now trying to find somewhere suitable to eat before winter illuminations start

On 2 separate visits my meal was wrong on both occasions. On the first visit they got everyone’s order wrong and this week all 3 were wrong. I don’t be eating there

Only went for breakfast but it was cold. All of the breakfast food were left out with no top on the holder so cold food. The sausages were massively overcooked then left so hard. The apple juice tasted more like water than apple. There was nothing massively enjoyable about it.

Visited Saturday morning before the rush started around 11:45 Service was diabolical tbh, was seated then basically ignored despite the restaurant probably being at 10% capacity. After 15 mins of trying to catch the eyes of the walking dead (and failing) I decided to go to the bar to order myself, order taken, then waited… 10 mins went by and my brother joined us at the table, he then went to the bar to order himself as we’d already ordered. A further 10 mins went by and my brother’s food arrived. I was then asked if I’d like to order also (this was by the girl that took my order circa 20 mins prior) I enlightened her of this fact and our Luke warm food appeared some moments later, I’d given up any explanation at this point and the meal was decidedly average. Utterly clueless.

We booked in the Hotel next door, so booked our evening meal in Wilds Bistro. From arrival to departing the service from the 2 staff looking after us was excellent. The food was cooked to our liking. The drinks were good. The cost was the market average you would pay anywhere. Thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend.
