We came here for Mother's Day with my Husband and little boy and the welcome was amazing we was shown to our table by Emma which was set up so lovely and welcoming had activities for my little boy and ordered from the menu. The food was delicious. We would definitely go again.

First time in the pub. Meeting a friend for lunch! Great January offer £7menu and half price drinks until 4pm. We had fish and chips from January special offer menu! Was delicious and plentiful for lunch! The ladies who served us (sorry didnt catch the names)were very friendly and accommodating! The place was tidy and clean. All in all great experience.

Very good food. Pie was lovely. Veg was nice and fresh. Nice selection of lagers. Nothing to fault. Just a good quality everyday pub. Will come again! Bar staff, Esmina and Emma were great.

Cold food , frozen veg not fresh, no parsnips ,had to ask for stuffing and seated by the back door oh dear. Waiting staff very helpful and kind but all in all will not be back for Christmas lunch

Came into the turnpike for a drink was welcomed by a member of staff called talis who was really warm towards us I would recommend going into the turnpike very friendly atmosphere will definitely be going back

I was in Bawtry for an hour and stumbled upon this lovely pub. Friendly welcome as soon as I walked in with a smile. Food was amazing and arrived quickly, drinks were cold and the atmosphere was great. Thanks Emma!

Such a lovely pub! Travel to come here. Staff are always friendly and it’s a great atmosphere. Antonia is always very welcoming and makes sure I am looked after! She’s always very friendly and smiling she’s most definitely the face of the turnpike

Visited over the weekend with family to try the new menu items. Lovely little place. The teens were able to watch live sports. Staff were very pleasant and attentive, the food was lovely!

Vast improvement on our last visit. Food was much better and choice was good. Meals came out in good time but no one cleared our table afterwards. We went back to the bar to order desert and still no one cleared our dinner plates away.It wasn't exactly busy so there really wasn't a reason for this. My main gripe was both the front and back doors were wide open so it was freezing in there. I don't want to sit and eat a meal wearing my coat.
