“I'm one of those awkward people who eats neither meat nor eggs (it's a taste thing, don't hate me), so I was horrified to see every item on the breakfast menu contained eggs! My fears were allayed, however, when the kind waitress said this wasn't a problem and offered to replace eggs with mushrooms on my avocado on toast (I've been eating avocado on toast before the hipsters made it trendy, so again, don't hate me). I have to say the chef really pulled it out the bag with this dish because it was utterly delicious! Thick, tasty wholegrain, layed with avocado and gorgeous fried, sliced button mushrooms. It was drizzled with reduced balsamic and came with a green water cress-like salad on top. Best breakfast I've had in ages! The accompanying cappuccino topped it off nicely.”

“Not quite what we expected.
Language was very colourful in our vicinity. Beer was nice, although not quite the idyllic view we expected of the canal. But well worth a visit.”
