17 Kings Rd, Wombwell, BarnsleyFood is second to none. Best Chinese I’ve ever had (not exaggerating, every Chinese I get that isn’t from this place gets compared to this place).
You will be waiting for 5/10 mins even when ordering for a specific time, however this only goes to show how fresh the food is. Always steaming hot. Staff are really accommodating for specific requests with dishes, e.g. will make it more mild or take beansprouts out or do different sizes etc.
Never had a bad meal from here personally and it’s always our go to for a takeaway.

Premier Inn Barnsley (Dearne Valley) hotel
Dearne Valley, Meadowgate, Wombwell, BarnsleyUsual Premier Inn experience, easy booking on line, excellent room, bed & desk staff, good parking. Food next door at restaurant is mediocre at best. £10/adult for buffet breakfast is no longer good value. Eat elsewhere if you can.

The food though on arrival was barely warm but it was cooked and it tasted ok

Sea Birds Fish & Chips
25 High St, Wombwell, BarnsleyTonight my wife was craving fish and chips at 10pm. That place was the only one open at that time. I ordered medium fish and chips for £6.99. I was expecting old fish reheated for my late order. I was pleasantly surprised. It was freshly cooked , a big portion which fed us both really. Strongly recommend! Delicious fish and chips! Couldn't ask for more. I will be back.

1 New-well Shopping Centre, Summer Ln, WombwellOf course they make good fried chicken but they also make good: spicy wings, burgers, chicken fillet burger (real whole chicken breast not an oversized chicken nugget on bread), and boneless chicken family meal is a great deal. They have their own app and you can sometimes get 10% off.
