As always busy in there, worth booking a table if eating after 7pm. Food is good with decent prices, take your own drinks in (or get from the pubs next door). Quick and friendly service with a good atmosphere.
Been away for work and unfortunately had to stay off due to food poisoning . Should of known something was off when walked in and we was the only people inside and the staff where half hearted and looked like they where forced to work
I honestly can’t believe Balti Towers in Burton exists – and not in a good way. The evening started with a chicken chaat that was….....fine, and that was the highlight. From there it was all downhill. I ordered a chicken Patheya and the chicken tasted like it had been marinated in bleach rather than any spice - I couldnt eat the meat and the rice tasted strange too.
The atmosphere was flat, the staff looked like they didn’t want to be there, and the toilets were so bad that my friend came back looking white and if he had been before food he wouldn't have eaten there. Judge a resteraunt by it's toilet..... ?
We left feeling very disappointed - Honestly, it’s just not worth visiting. There are plenty of other places in Burton that deserve your time and money more than this.
I don't like leaving bad reviews but this i have to do.
Chicken was off, tasted like cheese.
Staff didn't want to be there, unfortunately fawlty towers not balti towers.
Super authentic food, great welcoming staff.
Not licenced but they have arrangement with Devonshire Arms Pub opposite to buy a drink there, and walk to the restaurant, which is 30 seconds walk to next door.
Never had a bad curry from here yet been coming for years. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming and the food is banging
Went early for an anniversary meal, everything fine till half way through my main then found a plastic tag similar to one you get with a loaf of bread. The guys saw it and came over and asked if I wanted to change the meal, but to be fair it was really good so didn't want to leave it. I asked for the bill and was going ask for a discount just because there was a foreign object online my meal, but they had already discounted the bill by almost 50%. Can't really say much more but wasn't going to leave a tip but did in the end coz the guys were great. Had worse things in my food when the wife cooks ??
Balti Tower never disappoints. Another great evening. ?
Have enjoyed several curries here on my visits to Burton. Decor has improved over the years & curry consistently good. Slightly disappointed last weekend - restaurant not particularly busy but endured an hour wait after initial complimentary popadoms & chutneys. One of our party gave up & walked out. Reason given by staff was there were too many takeaway orders (are these given priority over seated customers who have ordered?). The curries & side dishes were (eventually) good. I will visit again but will monitor service times & set reasonable limits.
Good food, good service, good set menu option.
Restaurantji Recommends
Excellent food it is very good value for money. Good service Very happy all round
Great meal for 7. Usual high standard of food at a great price. You can get your Burton Bridge beer next door. What's not to like!
£33 and no complentry poppadoms, Onion Bhaji were burnt and flat not really crispy, seemed reheated, lamb jalfrazi the lamb was pretty fatty, chicken jheera was alright and naan and rice were okay too. Didn't eat in, staff were friendly for takeaway, food is poor quality. Will NOT be back.
EDIT: following morning, off from work.
amazing tasting food.
generous portions
really fast delivery.
my first time using this takeaway and would definitely 100% recommend
Family meal last night, food was awful curries if that’s what they were , ranged from bland tomato soup to so your of a jar pickles were dried up vile in a word, pakora was rock hard my wife just couldn’t bite In to it or even cut it with a knife, puri was like greasy cardboard with no taste fish well god knows what it was, the staff just stare at you, the place just looked what it is not nice just like the food vile, the chick was like it had been frozen then put in a microwave to cook through, the lamb was slimy covered in a patak cooking sauce totally horrible, I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy, there are far superior curry restaurants in burton
