This is the second time we have been here, summer and winter.The food and service is excellent, allways a warm welcome.A lovely homely pub right by the canal.Got to be one of the nicest hot beef sandwiches anywhere.
I came in solo after boating all day on the canal & was pleasantly surprised with how busy it was for a Thursday night. Two sides to pub. A restaurant side which looked modern and then the other side a traditional pub with lovely furnishings and decor. The staff was super friendly & the owner gave me lots of advise on the area & even offered to post my post cards that I had written out as there was not a post box close by. Lovely canal side pub. In the summer lots of outdoor seating for drinking in the sun. Inside space is quite tight with several “snugs” in the bar area but more restaurant space at the back.Good hearty food. Dogs welcome.Parking: Lots of free parking available.
