“This is a superb bar specialising in Belgian beer, but also serving a range of superb cask beers, often from local breweries and always well kept.
The owners have built on something good and made it exceptional - well done Tina, Paul and Olly!”

“A very straightforward pub. Joule's beer isn't for everyone, but there are always guest beers to try. And free sausage rolls from 6 pm on Sundays.”

“Not many stars for atmosphere as 4 people on the table behind us were talking on a zoom call to someone in loud voices so we could hear everything - why does no one know how to behave these days?
The food was great and very good value for money as they offer a set menu.
Service very friendly but slightly off as I made a point that I was gf but even so my plate hadn’t been adapted for that. However we were given a taste of a couple of wines before choosing a bottle of the one we liked best.”

“Very busy on a Saturday evening.
Nice old small pub, in the traditional style.
Bit noisy with loud music which was a shame because it was difficult to hear yourself talking...
Quite a few nooks and crannies to sit in, but can't escape the noise.
Fairly good choice on the bar, assuming you can get to it...”

“Cosy and quirky pub. Really enjoyed it for a quiet late night drink with enough people in to be lively but still enough personal space to be relaxing

“The Dog Inn was recommended by another pub landlord as they were not offering food and the recommendation was on the nose. The food at the Dog Inn is exceptional.
We went for a ate afternoon meal on a Friday so there were a number of patrons, however the service was quick and polite. They offer a standard menu as you would expect, with a specials board as well as a pasta of the week and soup of the day.
We opted for the latter 2 options as they were Chicken and Chorizo bake and a mixed vegetable soup (which the waitress advised was very nice and the staff we all having it!).
Both were absolutely exquisite. The soup was a large portion server with 3 slices of crusty bread and ample butter, which was more than enough for my fiance. Whilst the pasta was equal parts beautifully cooked pasta shells and protein, all loving topped with a thick layer of cheese and server with 3 pieces of homemade crusty garlic bread. All of this (2 meals) and 3 drink between us cost just under £30 total so it it also extremely good value for money.
The pub itself is beautifully presented, with ample indoor seating spread across a number of rooms, outdoor seating to the left and rear of the premises, wrap around parking and guest rooms.”

“Gem of a pub ! Value for money
August Lunchtime
We just wish that all pubs were like this. Brilliant food amazing service and a genuine warmth about the staff who actually care about providing a great experience. We couldn’t believe the size of the Burger !! The food was fresh and very tasty and the homemade chips were delicious! The Eton Mess Belgium waffle was to die for !!
In short we wholeheartedly recommend the Feathers and will definitely return”
