Great pie, lovely crust. Ordered a take away, arrived well packaged and warm (via just eat).Super tasty pie, mash was great too. Gravy perhaps a little too herby, which overpowered the pie flavours at times but still nice.
My boyfriend and I went here, for the first time, for a valentines treat. We both shared the lamb pie special which had amazing pastry, extremely smooth mash (which we both loved) and soft lamb full of flavour.Even though I personally don’t eat lamb (my boyfriend ordered the pie), it was really soft, tasty and not chewy in the slightest so I ate nearly all of it!The place itself is amazing too! Today was my first visit to Jake's, recommended by a friend. Amazing food, relaxed family atmosphere. Impeccable service, and the staff have got their ' customer service ' off the a fine art. Thoroughly recommend it ?
