Polite friendly staff however food took nearly half hour to come to table , portion sizes were not great and what did arrive was very bland , lasanga lacked in seasoning and was a little over done could crack a plate with the garlic bread , soup was very watery and lacked flavour , only positive thing was sandwich which to be honest cant go wrong woth a basic sandwich , staff although friendly it is a little off putting seeing staff walking around eating while serving customers pretty sure thats what breaks are for,

I had two coffees here, and no food. The staff were friendly, and it was good

We have been looking for a decent place for a bite to eat when in Lichfield and yesterday came across this little gem. My partner and I had jacket potatoes - excellent. Properly oven fresh spuds, floury centre, butter separate so you put your own in. Generous prawn mayo for me. All the tables were full, pleasant atmosphere. Good service, varied menu I am looking forward to working my way through. Will definitely call again.

Well I am being kind by giving this place one star. Pots of tea really weak with a dirty chipped teapot. Freezing cold club sandwich only place I have ever had bacon served freezing " well we don't serve it hot bacon is precooked" Cold soup which I asked to be warmed up and came back just the same. "Oh its a bit manic in the kitchen today" Freezing cold BLT - if you cant be bothered to put in the effort just don't bother! Go anywhere else not here. Attitude and food stink!

Friendly but awful coffeeIf you’re a “proper coffee” person - don’t bother

Visited today and found the staff to be rude and miserable. Slammed drinks on table. No customer service or politeness shown whatsoever. Food took an age to arrive and was pretty dreadful. It looks like they don’t have to try because of their location but really awful. Won’t be going back.

The two ladies serving at the counter continued their conversatuon with each other. The older one took my order while listening to the younger one, saying absolutely nothing whatsoever to me. My drink and then separately, a toasted teacake, were placed on my table without a word, eye contact or anything. Obviously during this they continued their conversation about a film they must watch. Altogether disappointing.?

Absolutely awful, miserable girl taking orders at the counter, no smiles and leaning up the counter. £12 for a poor quality burger, I’ve never seen my 16 year old son not finish a burger. He said it was worse than the school canteen and wished we’d gone to McDonald’s! I had a baked potato with prawns, tipped the prawn mayo out of the pot onto my potato and ended up with a wet and watery mess due to the amount of water in the bottom of the pot. Both meals were left unfinished. Probably the worst lunch we’ve ever had out, certainly the worst meal we’ve ever had in Lichfield.

Lovely food! Great choice. Although they got the order wrong they were really good and sorted it. Nice atmosphere and nice staff. Would definitely call again.

Absolutely terrible service this morning. Visited for breakfast and waited 35mins for a full English and a sandwich. I then asked for a bacon sandwich to take away and waited another 40mins! Everyone around me started complaining about the length of time they were also waiting for food and this made for a really uncomfortable atmosphere. I witnessed a very inexperienced cook in the kitchen with a stack of orders and absolutely no ability to multitask. There was a lady operating the till and taking orders, who started to cook orders once she realised that she had a very unhappy cafe on her hands. The food then started to arrive. I don’t think the regular cook was up to the job this morning. The lady who took over is definitely better suited for the job of cook!Having read other reviews I’m confident that not every day is as poor in relation to service as what I experienced this morning, however this experience would make me question whether I would visit again.
