We visited The Turnpike for its monthly quiz in February. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed and the staff were very helpful and friendly. New manager Josh was well received by the regulars.There is a good selection of drinks on tap and the staff are happy to recommend their favourites.The pub is dog friendly without it feeling like there are too many dogs.We will definitely go back again.

Came here to have some lunch with 2 friends! Pub was clean other than a couple of glasses still on tables. We all ordered fish and chips, was very nice and arrived quickly! Staff friendly!

Consistently a fantastic experience the land lady Christina and her team are always on hand, It was a shame to hear another customer being rude to the staff when being sat at the next table I could hear it was completely unjustified and the staff had been nothing but polite when trying to rectify a simple mistake.It was clear the customer was just trying to get a free meal.

Partner got surf & turf, I ordered cowboy burger.Both mains arrived within 15-20 minutes of ordering at nearly the same time. Burger was lovely, chips top quality.Partner enjoyed surf & turf however it would be worth mentioning what cut of beef they serve.Recommend if you're after a nice meal without the restaurant price.

We visited the Tunpike on Sunday for a family birthday meal. I have visited many times over the years but this time was excellent. The food was nice and hot, fantastically priced and as for the service I honestly couldn't fault it, nothing was to much of a problem the kids wanted cheese they got cheese, dog wanted water she got it to top it off my daughter got to have an ice cream sundae ? ( she is cows milk intolerant). I will definitely be back when we are in Lichfield again. Thank you to all the staff....My mom left a very happy birthday lady xx
