Had a great meet up in the Park Gate Inn, was too wet to climb up to Castle Ring. Had a “connection” with a very sad 3-4 year old boy spirit called William or Billy boy. He was thrown down a well by his mother. We did not even know there was a well anywhere near until we were leaving & saw a well in the back garden.He made three of us feel so cold & my throat closed up like I was drowning & such a feeling of sadness overcame us. Cosy, friendly, good pint , perfect location, views are outstanding....interesting history, it's unique.The family running park gate along with the ladies that look after the customers are sound ?

Nice place to spend time.. Log burner.. Comfy seats.. Staff are lovely.. Sandwiches available.. They even made me one without butter!! Well stacked with crisps.. Soft drinks etc.. Toilets are spotlessly clean.. Also dog friendly.. If you havent been in here.. Give it a try
