Went here 2 days after Boxing Day .. Service really good and table manner was delightful..they were very busy but made sure you were comfortable.. Our meal came and was absolutely delicious.. we both had Cod and chips Large and small portions .. it was soooooo tasty really enjoyed our meal and our impromptu visit to this wonderful restaurant/Pub. We congratulate you on all your efforts to put your customer a first . Thank You very much ??Parking: What’s more to say than large free no booking in car park ??

Food fantastic, staff outstanding service nothing to much trouble. Compliments to the Chef the beef was fabulous, well everything was first class. My Son booked this for our pre xmas meal treat, due to going on holiday over xmas. It isn't the first time we have been for a meal and always get first class food and service. Eight of us went for a carvery today. (10th Dec 2023). Food was excellent and lots of it. Service was spot on with lovely, friendly staff. Cost for what we had couldn't be beat. If you want a nice carvery in a lovely traditional, friendly pub, then this is the place for you.I advise pre booking as it gets rammed. But we'll worth a visit.

Absolutely fab. Came up from Cornwall for a visit and have to say the best meal and night out for a long time. A real lively pub, excellent food and beer. What a pub should really be like. Need to take it home and show everyone how it should be done.Excellent ????

Lively and friendly. I have often experienced times when locals are tribal and passive hostile, when strangers enter for the first time , not the case here. Friendly all round, lively and great atmosphere. Very busy for a Wednesday night. We'll taken care of and we will be coming again, thank you.

Second visit for us, food is great, all really well cooked, they seated us straight away despite not booking (2pm on a Thursday) it was quite full and I would definitely recommend booking if going at the weekend. Staff are lovely and happy to help and we had a table in front of a real fire which was lovely. I don't have any criticism, but I would love if they started with proper portions of sauce, either give us a bottle or a pot I hate sachets with a passion and scrimping on sauce puts me off a bit, probably as I have the eating habits of a 5 year old ? well worth a visit!!

2nd time we have visited for Sunday lunch and both times the food and service were both absolutely superb. It is dog friendly too which is great. Will definitely be returning.
