We enjoyed our Sunday lunch, and will be returning for sure.

After mistakenly booking the wrong pub , the staff here accommodated us without hassle . We had the best food , fabulous service and totally felt looked after . Mom had a great birthday meal .

Vegetarian options: I’m vegan food was lovely had lentil shepherds pie tasted divine

Kid-friendliness: Staff were great with the two little ones

Well worth visiting this superb cosy pub ,beautiful inside and outside with Excellent food home cooked generous portions ,staff are very welcoming friendly with excellent service. always love visiting this place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ christmas day always amazing here too

Sunday lunch one of the best

Yet another excellent meal, staff friendly as always. First time for Sunday lunch but will be making a return visit. We'll worth a visit any day of the week.

Just had a birthday meal for 22 people. The food is excellent, and the service is fantastic. Thank you to all who made the meal special for my mom. This pub serves the best food, especially the Sunday roast.

Me and my girlfriend went here on the 8/2/25 as we was passing on the way home from a day out. When we sat down, in less than 5 minutes the waitress asked us twice if we was ready to order. On the third time, she asked she said that she was trying to get our order in before a table of 11 so we wasn't waiting. So we went on an ordered. We had the garlic prawns with chilli. And after being there 45 mins and asking the waitress where our starter was. She informed us that the shef had burnt the prawns and was making another portion. When they came out there was only 3 prawns and some bread with it. The bread was rock hard and crumbled like a cracker. The prawns had no garlic taste and I informed the manager and she apologised and took it back as we didn't finish it as it was so poor.

Our mains came out after the table of 11 did that's how long we was waiting. When the we asked for the bill as we wanted to get home. The waitress asked if everything was OK with our meals? I told her of our service and food and she seemed shocked. She said that she would tell the manager. She came back with the bill and said that she had took the starters off the bill (witch i had no intentions of paying for) and she said that she had took the drinks off the bill witch I informed her we brought the drinks at the bar before we sat down. She replied. Oh.... she didn't offer to take the price of the drinks off the bill. would not recommend this place for food. The service was terrible and the food matched it.

We don't want to pre order our food.....

Sadly, we didn't get chance to eat here as we were put off when booking a party of 10 people for a birthday meal when we were asked to pre order our food. How do we know what we'll fancy to eat on the night? This absolutely spoils the fun of a night out and choosing what we'd like to eat on the night. If we were 5 tables of two people you wouldn't ask us to pre order so why when there's a table of 10? It's still 10 people eating! Unfortunately for you we've taken our business and booked elsewhere where we'll be spending at least £300+. I'm glad you can afford to refuse our booking. No wonder pubs are closing.......

I was lnvited to Sunday lunch with my family for a special birthday and I decided to have the turkey crown and was very disappointed with the quality and the amount of of meat and it did not look like it was carved off a crown after all I had heard about this restaurant it did not live up to its reputation with my meal

Superb meal last night. Beef and Stilton pie. The pastry was superb. The best I have ever tasted, compliments to cheff. Party of four and we all had great food. Very attentive staff, and lovely atmosphere. We will be back

Parking: Very busy car park, but managed to find a space.
