“These beautiful people let us hold our Wedding evening in their establishment. We booked them for the food, paid for extra as locals would be in there and it was our pleasure to feed them also.We hired a duo band 'The Machines 'from York who rocked the place and were made to feel more than welcome. They decorated inside with their own greenery to make the pub look so elegant and beautiful. On the night it was just perfect in every way.The food could have fed the city.Amazing, Amazing, Amazing. Love The McMillan's xx”

“We were at this harvester tonight 3 Adults and 3 children under 5 , our waitress was KELLY and she was fantastic with the kids while being professional anybody who has Kelly as their server will have an enjoyable experience. The wait was longer than normal but it was extremely busy but when the food came it was piping hot and delicious . I highly recommend and will be back.”

“A really pleasant surprise. Since it shut back in the early part of the year, we weren't sure if it would pick up again. It has. New chefs, excellent chicken schnitzel burger and not too expensive. We'll be visiting the red house again soon.”

“What an absolute treasure trove, a feast for the eyes. You have to go. The landlord Alan has been collecting antiques and collectibles for 63 years. Including a 3000 year old Egyptian jug and a pair of stocking, which once belonged to queen Victoria. A warm welcome and pastries are served at the bar. It's a must visit.”

“Hidden Gem.
Extremely delicious, well presented food, at a fair price. Compliments to the Chef.
The two of us, had whiskey pork belly. Perfect. Service was attentive, yet unobtrusive. Staff are friendly and mindful.
We ate outside, as was a lovely evening.
Inside is contemporary and very clean.
Didn't make a reservation, but have a feeling your safest doing so.
Highly recommended, will be visiting in future.”

“The Millrace Pub is a lovely old pub in the middle of Milton Village Stoke-on-Trent. very friendly , hospitable and Michelle the landlady is very welcoming . There's quite often live entertainment at weekends . in the week different groups hire the sideroom for Crafts , book club , general meetings and the odd ukulele practice . There's even local honey for sale . A great friendly place to have a cold ( or hot) drink on a sunny day , or just sit by the coal fire come autumn”

“What an amazing pub. Beautifully prepared food with delightful, interesting and well cooked vegetables. We had the roast dinner but there were plenty of other options which looked equally delicious. Very generous portion sizes and very reasonably priced considering the high quality of food. The service was prompt and friendly, the landlord has only been there 5 months and he’s done a terrific job. We did a really lovely walk from the pub over the moor and to the reservoir. All in all it was a lovely day out.”
