In December, I enjoyed dinner with friends at Mario's in Uttoxeter. Delicious food, excellent portion size, friendly staff, fab service, characterful decor and a cosy/relaxing atmosphere. I'll be back again soon.

There are only a few tables in the restaurant and they are tightly packed up to one another. Sadly this means a "loud" table next to you can ruin the evening somewhat! Service was OK. Food was OK, but both guys felt portions could have been bigger (but the ladies were fine). Sadly we won't be rushing bach here.

Although we always enjoy dining at Mario’s, we also enjoy a takeaway meal, and on this cold December evening there was nothing better than tucking into their very tasty spaghetti vegetariano . Great value as well and a warm welcome from Mario and Jo. Their restaurant is a real asset to Uttoxeter!

Very nice surprise as Mario’s was much larger inside its a tardis Welcoming and friendly with an expansive menu .I had pork medallions which were beautiful as were the nibbles to start.Luckily it was a treat so I didn’t pay but the experience was fabulous It’s a hidden gem

What a little gem this place is. Right on our doorstep in Uttoxeter. One of the best restaurants I have been to. From start to finish couldn't fault it. Food, excellent, drink, excellent, service excellent. Price. Excellent, will definitely be going back. We'll done.

Really authentic Italian food. Friendly efficient waiting. The only thing that I didn't enjoy was the loudness of one table that made our own conversation impossible.

The restaurant was a few steps away from the B & B we were staying at. Mario’s is extremely clean and tidy and the staff were really friendly and efficient and very attentive without being intrusive. The menu was quite comprehensive . I’m not a great fan of pasta but there were sufficient alternatives to please me whilst the rest of the party enjoyed their Italian dishes. The starters and mains arrived at the table piping hot and all were absolutely delicious ! Drinks are readily available. Red, white and rose wines house wines, Italian beers and lots of liqueurs. Maybe a minor complaint, but it would have been nice to have seen a few more bottled wines being available. Other than that , the evening was really enjoyable and I would have no hesitation in recommending Mario’s as a venue to be visited . Excellent food, very friendly staff and pleasant surroundings. What more could you ask for ? A word to the wise. Mario’s is not a very big restaurant and is very popular so be sure to book in advance.
