“Staying with my sister I suggested we visit Felixtowe Ferry to have a look around the boatyard. We had a choice of parking. Pay at the municipal parking and eat in the cafe or eat at The Ferry Boat Inn and get free parking We chose the pub and took advantage of the OAP reduced cost lunch. We both chose fish and chips with mushy peas, my sister having cod and I had haddock. The portions were smaller than the £18.00 non OAP meals but for a lunchtime meal this suited is perfectly. The fish was really very good indeed. Crispy batter without the gloopy soft batter underneath that so often get. The chips were perfect. We would definitely eat there again.”

“Friendly staff, but the pub is a little run down and is due to be taken over by new owners.”

“We took my husbands mother for Sunday dinner yesterday 20/8/2023. OMG, it was amazing and reasonable priced. We had duo's which meant we could pick two meats, the chicken, beef and pork were perfect, for £2.00 extra. Yes, we had to pay extra for cauliflower cheese and "pigs in blankets" but no complaints. Horseradish and cranberry sauce in abundance. The only reason I have put 4/5 is because my salt and pepper pots were covered in old gravy and so I had gravy over my hands. ? Well done, died impressed. Amanda. Stowmarket”

“A Sunday Roast is a very special meal, a treat even. Following a post on Facebook by The White Horse, Church Road, Felixstowe IP11 9NF, the two of us decided to try them out. We booked a table over the phone for 1pm. We arrived and were shown to our table. There didn't seem to be many in the restaurant area but it turned out there was a large family group in the beer garden behind the pub. There was a choice of Beef or Turkey. We ordered the beef. It did take a while to arrive but was worth the wait. A good amount of perfectly cooked beef, sliced thickly enough, with roast potatoes, roast parsnips, string beans, carrots and cauliflower cheese. Neither of us had the yorkshire pud by choice. It was delicious and well worth the £12.95p it cost. Thanks to the team at The White Horse and please keep us the good work.”
