Suprised how lovely this pub is these days. Havent visited in years but as I was in the area on a hike decided to reward myself with a pint. Had Young's Special guest beer 4.5%.Very nice outside area now,in a south facing garden.
Superb food in a lovely beer garden. The portions were huge and tasty. I had a full rack of ribs and my husband had the brisket. Service was fabulous and attentive. Would definately recommend

In this instance, the stars system doesn't help much. We were there mid afternoon, so pub empty - we didn't eat, so no food rating, but it looked a good menu. Barman was pleasant enough. However, best kept real ale of the day... worth 6 stars.
