Went in February as a group of about 9, we were made to sit outside despite there being plenty of room inside. Then told the heating didn't work. Some of our group are in their 70s had to sit shivering in coats and hats.

This café is really lovely. The food is amazing and tastes incredible, the bacon bagel was juicy and the full English breakfast was really tasty. We didn’t have to wait long for our food especially when it was super busy inside. I recommend booking before you come here, as we had to sit on the outside turrets with thankfully a lovely heated lamp, our blankets which her nicely provided, thank you! Staff are polite and very caring, I highly recommend this place will be coming back soon.

My sister and my Dad took me for lunch as I was visiting from Essex. First time coming into the cafe and was really impressed. Lovely atmosphere, lovely, friendly service and the food is so good! I had the Asian beef toastie. It was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend this place to visit.Parking: Plenty of parking

Aug 2023Attended a local charity AGM that was being held at the café. 6 people attended and we were originally seated inside but finally accommodated outside but under cover at our own request to move as it was so busy inside. As it was, the weather was great and being outside was very comfortable. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and scones and cake were all lovely. Service couldn't be faulted. Very helpful staff.

Booked for lunch with a friend today.. it was fairly busy on arrival at 12.30.We were greeted quickly by a friendly guy and given the option of where to sit, we chose outside because it was such a lovely day.Menus arrived swiftly and we were left a short while to make our choices.I noted how pleasantly clean everywhere was, as soon as a table left, it was cleared and cleaned, properly, with disposable paper and a cleaning agent.. nice to see they take cleanliness seriously!I chose an iced oat latte and orso feta salad, both delicious and nicely presented. My friend was very happy with her chicken & bacon salad, although wished for perhaps a more interesting, maybe local lemonade.Service was prompt and extremely friendly, nothing too much trouble.How could it be improved:Our only wish was that the background sound could have been the chatter of customers rather than high energy music which is played inside and out. They kindly turned it down at our request.It’s such a lovely spot next to the lake that (for us) music is not really a necessity.Really nice spot, great food thoughtfully presented and really personal, friendly service.We are planning our next visit!!Vegetarian options: Plenty to choose from and oat milk tooKid-friendliness: Lots of families enjoying the okay equipment providedParking: Easy to parkWheelchair accessibility: I think so yesDietary restrictions: The menu provides all information required for special diets.

I held a small ‘Baby Sprinkle’ at The Lakehouse on Sunday morning and wanted to share how lovely our experience was. The staff went above and beyond to serve us quickly and get our brunch order through before the cut off, and all with a smile on their faces! The food and drinks were lovely, portion sizes were great!5* from me and will be returning to try the lunch menu and drag brunch soon.Vegetarian options: Good brunch options for veggies!
