This thatched and part 16th century country pub has, thankfully, not been trendily modernised. The cosy beamed bar is clearly popular, with a choice of well-kept real ales. The quiet, comfortable rooms are at the side, with picnic tables outside. The large beer garden offers extensive views across farmland. Foodwise, it's unpretentious, familiar pub fare (good steaks and pasta, but sloppy, dull curry). Wines at competitive prices. Excellent full English (but not too full) breakfast....read full review
Having got very lost on way to white horse and arriving half hour late we were greeted by amazing friendly staff.The food was excellent. The atmosphere was delightful We will definitely be returning with out getting lost.

We moved into the area a year ago and sadly only just found this little nugget of greatness. When we entered the pub was busy with locals , staff were so attentive and friendly . We felt welcome from the start . The food was ample portions and very very tasty , the wine was good quality and chilled to perfection. We will be back . If you are considering booking, do as you won't be disappointed.
