We were in Long Melford with friends and decided on the spur of the moment to have lunch. Thankfully The Black Lion has an online booking system which made the reservation process so quick and easy. We had not eaten here before but had heard good reports. It did not disappoint. The menu choices were excellent and the food and wine superb and reasonably priced. I actually met my husband working here in 2000 so it's a special place for us. It's a beautiful place, recently refurbished and super dog friendly. Actually above and beyond dog friendly. Great food. Great atmosphere, great service. Can't wait to go back
Celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary by having a meal at the Black Lion whilst staying in Long MelfordVery good service from Holly who was friendly & very efficient throughout the evening.Food was superb, & the menu certainly has something for everyone & just that little bit different.Would definitely recommend a visit for a meal, & from what we saw if looking to stay in the area worth checking out the rooms.
