Popped in for a quick pint. Odd smell as soon as you walk in, but a bigger pub that I thought that was starting to get busy. Staff very nice. Will have to come back and try the food soon.

Great pub food, Great beers and a good atmosphere, Worth a visit

Great well run pub, with surprisingly good prices, considering Snape is so popular? Snug and warm in winter and in summer you can sit outside and watch the world go by. Great location to visit while doing the beautiful Sailor's Path walk nearby!

Served very well. Pleasant staff. Nice cosy seats in snug atmosphere. Didn't stay hence no room comments.

I haven't actually been there yet. It has a great reputation and menu, it looks lovely and it's handy for Snape Maltings. I booked a few weeks ago for a pre-concert dinner, but felt I had been persuaded to do so against my better judgement and left too little time, so must now cancel. I will definitely try it when there's less pressure on time.

Sadly our stay was only for one night. The room was excellent; ample hot water, spacious and very warm. Probably built a few hundred years ago very characterful, not for persons over six ft tall! Beers in excellent condition. One of the best full English breakfasts I have had. Staff were all personable and welcoming. Went the extra mile to give us an early breakfast as we had to leave especially early. Highly recommended.

One of the best lunches we’ve had anywhere in a long, long time! We both had pork belly which was incredibly delicious along with all the perfect trimmings inc root vegetable purée and red cabbage ….yum! My husband followed up with the sticky toffee pudding which again was in a different league to the usual, the caramelised banana addition he said were amazing! The staff too were lovely, very professional and helpful. Hopefully we’ll be back very soon! X

A delightful lunch whilst waiting for our car to be Mot’d at a nearby garage. We had fish and chips, which was delicious, light and plentiful. All washed down with a pint. A pub we have missed, having lived in Aldeburgh for a while. The staff were very welcoming and friendly….We most definitely will return.

Booked last minute at this nice pub in Snape, very friendly staff welcomed us.It was evidently pie night , a pity for us as the special board had some very tempting dishes on it. However I chose one of the pies chicken, ham and leek served with chips and fresh cabbage, broccoli and mangetout plus gravy. Husband had smoked haddock bacon and onion mash with spinach. We really enjoyed both dishes and will have to go again to try the specials! My only gripe is the amount of dogs, wish we could go back to days when they were not allowed in establishments that serve food.

Lovely little village pub just off the main road and walkable from The Maltings. Only drank but food selection looked nice and reasonably priced.Worth a visit.
