Food was well presented and the chips were probably the best part. ?If we had have had our dogs, they would've been welcome which would've been a bonus. Staff were very friendly and polite. We didn't stay so can't comment on rooms etc. A great destination just to have food , and pretty central if you were staying, to be a short drive from some tourist attractions .Food & drinks: As commented above, food was top notch, especially the chips ?
The staff are friendly and helpful, attentive but not overly so. The food was delicious. Smoked Mackerel and Camembert starters followed by Cod in a chive butter sauce...just scrummy.

I had a great meal here during the August bank holiday. Many other pubs in the area were not offering meals on a Sunday evening but luckily for us The Golden Key was open and taking bookings. Double bonus was that the food we ate (plaice and cod) were delicious and fresh tasting and the service was friendly and efficient. It wasn’t my 1st choice but it could well be in the future.
