The weather had cooled from sone of the hottest days in August. We needed a good lunch following a terrific walk in not too far away Dunwich Forest. It was bar service. Good range of food. I went for the basil pesto fungi linguine.... generous potion and tasty. Also nice was Coke Zero on tap. Would definitely recommend.

My favourite pub! Great food, great range of locally produced drinks, helpful staff. In a lovely location 5o combine with a walk, trip to Southwold or a ferry trip over from Walberswick. Parking right outside. I love the maze like feel with many nooks to settle in. Outdoor seating areas and dogs welcome.

At the harbour at Southwold, so great location. The energetic amongst us can take a pre dining walk, either along the harbour towards the sea, or inland along the country path. Food and service is good with many covers, inside and outside. Note that at the time of writing this review, this place does not take advance reservations. Tip: To avoid a bumpy ride to and from the Inn, drive straight through the "water tower" car park. This road will bring you directly to the pub

My partner and I were visiting Southwold and picked the Harbour Inn at random for an early dinner. What a treat! From the really friendly welcome, great service and the delicious food ( we had fish and chips with homemade minty mushy peas - him, and fish pie - me) to the lovely atmosphere in the pub, we felt we had stumbled on a gem.

Oh my what a find, visited with my Sister and her Husband, fabulous day, cool but sunny and was able to sit outside and have a drink. Then went inside to have a meal. Fabulous quaint, rustic but delivers the goods. Beer good, food excellent, what more can you want. A few dog walkers and their dogs kept us amused. Will return.

The road down to the pub is a bit to be desired being loose stone and pot holes. It's also not that disabled friendly as there are steps both up and down into the pub. Once inside though the staff are friendly and welcoming. The food and drink was good but I don't think I will return preferring the lord Nelson in town

This is always our go to pub in Southwold, fabulous setting with plenty of outside seating, front looking over river and moorings towards Walberswick and outback great views towards Southwold. Menu never dissapoints with emphasis on great fish/seafood. Always freshly cooked and great value. Goes without saying great selection of local beers and larger. Staff always most welcoming and plenty of parking outside.

Great real ale pub by harbour, a number of small rooms interconnecting in old original part of pub and large modern part lots of dining seating. Also lots of seating outside. Basic pub style food. Live Music performance some Thursdays

Lovely pub. Food was great and the place was clean. It was just lacking a little atmosphere. It was a quiet day in town anyway but it just needed a little something.

Great pub in a lovey location. Ideal for walking to from southwold. Great views to the rear across the meadow and across the river at the front. Wonderful selection of real ales and friendly staff. We had lunch there and a couple of pints. I will return.

Wonderful waterfront location and views. Cheerful and friendly barman. Cosy bar area with a range of real ales and kegs. A very good prawn and crayfish cocktail. Decent size. Plump and moist. Spacious outside areas. Underwhelming chips. Hideous plastic sauce sachets. ????
