Very popular venue and for good reason. The food is excellent and the service staff friendly and efficient. Good choices and alternatives as well - not just cod'n'chips. A good example of a pub that has adapted and extended over time with demand yet maintained high standards.Wheelchair accessibility: None really but bear in mind the original building is very old, is on an unmade road and has necessary flood defences as it's right on a tidal river, only a few hundred metres...read full review

Just visited for drinks. End of lunch service. Very busy, shared a table in the back bar. Service good, Adnams Ghost Ship excellent. Staff pleasant & smiley. Don't know if they take bookings for diners but reccommend.

A favourite pub full of atmosphere and a great place to pause while on a long walk. We stopped off for a drink (Adnams Southwold Bitter and a 0.5 Wild Wave cider) and a round of cheese and Adnams chutney sandwiches each. The sandwiches were a meal in themselves, served with salad and crisps. Plenty of other dishes to choose from too.
