“Went there today with my husband and my mum and dad. Service was amazing from start to finish, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. My husband and dad had the beef and ale pie which they said was delicious and me and mum had the lasagne which was the best i've EVER had! We shared a side of coleslaw which in itself is worth a visit, delicious and creamy. Rich homemade food at good prices. Booking definitely advisable as gets very busy. Recommend 100%”

“The Stag has got to be one of 'newest', 'oldest' pubs in Stowmarket.\\nThe premises has been there for a few hundred years. I remember it as a butchers in the 70's but it became a pub in the same decade, hence oldest/newest.\\nAlways popular, always topical.\\nPublic car park nearby.\\nTown centre 2 mins walk.\\nJohn Peel Centre 2 mins walk.\\nTrain station 5 mins walk.\\nPool table, music, TV and wheelchair accessible.\\nOak beams and low ceilings so mind your head.\\nStaff are attentive, fun and there is a great selection of drinks.”
