“Absolutely brilliant night in the White Lion! Andy the barman could not have been more helpful or friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Welcomed with open arms by the local drinkers too. Then a wonderful, blood pressure reducing stay in the beautiful shepherds hut in the grounds of the pub. Only one night but feel like I’ve been on holiday for a week. Will be back! And soon! “The Sunday roast was a solid effort overall. The pork was cooked well, and the Yorkshire puds were properly crisp and fluffy. Roast potatoes were decent, though could’ve been crispier (just personal preference), and the veg was fine.

At £25, it feels a bit on the pricey side, but they do try to use Suffolk produce and keep things seasonal, which is appreciated. The portion was generous and the atmosphere was relaxed, perfect for a Sunday. There is a bit of a wait with the carvery, but it is to be expected when full.”

“Great pub. Really loved this place. We popped in before a walk and the food was amazing, and great value. The staff were welcoming and attentive and the beer was spot on. (Especially the pint of Blue Moon.) To be honest, I was tempted to ditch the walk and stay in the pub all afternoon!

“Took my friends for her birthday meal, and wow what a fantastic meal everything was cooked to perfection, piping hot, lovely fresh vegetables, will definitely go again, and recommend the staff was so attentive, And the desert was yummy,”

“Excellent local pub that just oozes character and atmosphere. They serve a great selection of drinks at reasonable prices and the menu & specials are wide ranging and reasonably priced as well. This is definitely the best pub in the area and is very popular with locals so there may be queue at times but it's worth the wait. If you're staying in the area, The Meat Shed, Pump St. Bakery and the village shop over the road are all well worth a visit as well.”

“This is a beautiful old pub which packs a punch with its atmosphere. My partner and I are vegetarian and we had plenty of options to choose from. The food was delicious and very well priced and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this establishment.”

“On holiday in Woodbridge. This pub once for evening meal and twice for breakfast .Brilliant food and great service. The King's breakfast is a masterpiece! Sarah, who served us on two of the visits is, funny and very caring of the customers. Highly recommended.”
