Had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful hotel for 2 nights. Such comfortable beds and pillows. Spotlessly clean everywhere. Big thumbs up ? to housekeeping! Staff friendly, professional and efficient. Great self-service breakfast. Beautifully situated alongside the Thames with lovely walks along the tow path. The weather was great and I enjoyed sitting at an outdoor table watching the world (and boats!) go by. This was my second stay at the Runnymede Hotel and it has been a 10/10 experience on each visit.

I visited the site of the signing of the Magna Carta after actually seeing one of the four original manuscripts in the British Library. An easy 40 minute trip from Paddington Station (one change at Slough) to Windsor. Then, across from the station, the #8 bus to the Bells of Ouzeley (a pub). From there a 10 minute walk (signposted). Have a coffee at the Magna Carta Cafe, any questions about the location will be answered by the manager. My first stop in this open field and lovely wooded area along the Thames, was to the JFK memorial which is set in one acre of American soil! The memorial was dedicated by Queen Elizabeth II in 1965. It sits atop a low hill and is reached by climbing 50 steps (one for each state). After visiting the monument it is a few hundred yards to the site of the Magna Carta signing and this monument was a gift from the American Bar Association in 1957. So, in this English countryside there is an amazing American presence that links the two countries. The monument is beautiful and simple yet is a reminder that this is the most important locations in the English speaking world. I was astounded that the two other visitors (Americans) were not aware of the "American Connection."

It wasn't made clear on booking.com so I'm making it clear here. There are pretty much no facilities available and no alternative arrangements put in place. The reservation team said that the price would reflect the work going on but I think the price we paid is quite steep for a slightly more up-market Travelodge. I'd wait till after the refurbishments to book here. On the upside the staff were lovely and the rooms were quiet. The ventilation system was very noisy in our room and did nothing despite this noise. Only stay if you are a boxer looking to make weight before a big fight.

The hotel is based at a very lovely setting at Runnymede on Thames near Windsor. It has very good facilities and the food is also at a high level. There is plenty of parking and the outdoor is a very nice place to relax.

Tired, dirty and dusty, poor staff attitudes at check-in and the bar area. Corridors with mouldy ceilings and trays, glasses and bottles left outside many rooms. Bedroom and bathroom tired and in need of upgrading. Bad experience and the worst 4* hotel I have stayed at in the area. Didn't eat here thankfully so can't comment on such.

Stayed for a night at the Runnymede Hotel to break our journey home and glad we did. All staff were friendly and helpful and the location by the river is perfect. The Spa facilities are also good. Highlight of the stay was breakfast which was a buffet of the highest quality offering everything you could possibly ask for. We’ll definitely be back!

We went back to the Runnymede to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary and it brought back wonderful memories of our wedding. The hotel is changing over to a Warner's Adults only Hotel and as such renovations were ongoing. We checked in and had a lovely riverside suite. The room had a large bathroom with bath and walk-in shower, bath robes were also provided. The room had a king size bed, sofa, 2 tvs coffee making facilities, fridge, iron etc. The room was cleaned each day to a very high standard and we could not fault it. Meals are served in the Buffet help-yourself giving you the freedom to choose from the many starters, main meals and desserts. The hotel offers a curtesy return bus to take you into Windsor - once in morning and once in the afternoon. it only took 15 mins each way depending on the traffic. We did not use the Spa but did spent time in the outdoor pool as the weather was excellent. The pool provides towels and there are plenty of sun loungers. As part of the renovations, some of the Riverside rooms will be having balconies and the old conference centre is changing into an auditorium for evening shows. We had a wonderful stay and will certainly be going back once it has fully transformed to see the differences.

Ideal location along the River Thames, with easy access to Windsor. The staff were all fantastic, very welcoming and friendly, nothing was ever too much trouble for them. I look forward to returning soon.

Poor quality pancakes. Cold and soggy as though they were microwaved. Overpriced as well.

Comfortable area to get some work done and have a snack. Close enough to the airport but far enough to stop the quality dropping.

Wow! Absolutely fantastic lounge bistro bar, part of the wonderful Runnymede hotel. A roaring open fire in a slick modern fireplace was absolutely stunning to experience while overlooking the Thames. Service outstanding with the staff smiling and helpful the whole time.

Poor service, poor quality, poor prices - review is not based on the hot food, but the brunch /hot drinks.Generally not impressed, and the lounge didn't reflect the quality of the hotel.Matcha latte was not mixed well, the smoothies were not fresh, and the service was non-existent...

Just went to the bar, got ignored because table orders are more important! The assistant manager severed someone who had just walked up and completely ignored the fact I had been standing there for a while. Very rude place I will not be returning
