Thank you so much Pipasha restaurant. You treated us so well. You are truly a special restaurant, the food was EXCELLENT and what made it even more special was the customer service. My brother enjoyed his birthday SO much, he felt so special. Thank you for the complementary shots and complementary bottle of Prosecco. You made his birthday so special. We couldn't have asked for any more. God bless the heart of your business. We will be back ❤️

Travelled from Essex for dinner here. Gorgeous food and faultless staff. Only complaint would be a slightly larger drink selection, I’d had liked to have a Malibu and pineapple but food is exceptional!

Thank you all for looking after me and my large group so well on my birthday. The food was excellent, the service was most attentive and the staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. Well done to all at Pipasha, and we will come again.

Great Indian restaurant. Starters in particular were stunning. Reasonable value. My only gripe is the poor selection of wines. Several Sauvignon Blancs (which I hate) or an ok Pinot Grigio. Then Chablis at £35 or so a bottle. But we’ll be back, maybe take away next time.

DISCLAIMER: !This review is based on takeaway orders only! We have been looking for a decent Indian/Nepalese in the area. Pipasha is only 2 minutes away so we thought it would be very convenient fit. We have tried Pipasha 3x in the last few months. We have never been thrilled with the food, but sometimes people have an off day or certain dishes may not be to your liking, so we try to give people a fair chance and try to get a better feel for the quality by trying a variety of different dishes over time Onto some specifics... The good: - Naan bread is great and has been on every occasion - Rice is generally good - Staff are friendly and good response over the phone - Locals are fond of Pipasha (even if they don't eat there) because it is a household name that has been in the area for many years. - Decent seating area for when you are waiting for your order The not so good: - On 2/3 occasions, some of the dishes were overcooked. Specifically Onion Bhaji, Samosas, Chicken Tikka, Tandoori Chicken. Slightly dry is acceptable, but when the food becomes dark and bitter, it is not a pleasant experience. - Poppadums don't appear to be made to order or the oil isn't hot enough, or the packet of dried poppadums (before frying) are old. On all 3 occasions they have come across as slightly stale The bad: - Charging extra for 'King Prawns' is expected...but charging 20% more for prawns that are clearly pre-cooked / frozen is unacceptable. If they aren't pre-cooked, they are being massively overcooked. Prawns are a family favourite so we have tried 4 different prawn dishes. Each time the prawns have been like rubber bullets or chewing a school eraser. It's a shame because the flavour of the marinades and sauces has been quite nice, but the whole family have been leaving the prawns behind because they are simply off-putting. - The food is generally quite oily compared to many other establishments. Not greasy like a cheap chinese, but there have been a couple of dishes that were swimming in oil. Yes, you can remove the excess oil as you serve the food, but you shouldn't have to. - The price Yes, there is a cost of living crisis. Yes, we have inflation, but the reality is, we have had much better food at the same price. We've got near London prices but nowhere near London quality, which is a shame. In fact, loathed as I am to say it, some of own homemade curries have been far more memorable and obviously much cheaper. Even the M&S curry selections are of a higher standard and half (yes half) the price. The only thing Pipasha does better is the naan bread. It may seem absurd to draw the comparison, but there's a reason I've created a TripAdvisor account just to write this review. In Summary: Yes, this is a generally negative review, but I want it to be understood we are being as fair and considerate as possible. We have tried the restaurant on multiple occasions, we have tried 10+ different dishes and spent approaching £200 and we don't feel like we have had fair value. Equally, there are many people who love Pipasha and they may have good reason to, this is just our experience and unfortunately for us and for them, we can't justify another visit.
