Came here for lunch to see family on Tuesday 2nd January, and whilst the rump steak, profiteroles and red wine were all warming and delicious, plus incredibly good value I might add, the highlight of the meal was being looked after so thoughtfully, attentively and wonderfully by the lovely Jackie. Working in hospitality myself, I know a star waitress when I see one and Jackie went over and above to make sure we had the best meal possible and was on hand in a flash to fulfill any needy sauce requirements from us! 3 hours flew by and we were made to feel right at home. I would highly recommend the Mill House for a yummy hearty meal in a nice pub setting, but above all else, for the friendly, caring staff. Thank you so much Jackie and I have no doubt I'll be back. We've just had a really lovely experience at The Mill House. It was my birthday family meal and there were 8 of us (6 adults and 2 children). The food was delicious but I really wanted to give a shout out to Sydonnie our waitress. She was AMAZING!!! So attentive, went over and above to ensure we all were happy with our menu choices, was extremely attentive and was great with the kids. She was so happy and welcoming. A great asset to this restaurant. Thank you for making my birthday meal such a lovely experience.

We've just had a really lovely experience at The Mill House. It was my birthday family meal and there were 8 of us (6 adults and 2 children). The food was delicious but I really wanted to give a shout out to Sydonnie our waitress. She was AMAZING!!! So attentive, went over and above to ensure we all were happy with our menu choices, was extremely attentive and was great with the kids. She was so happy and welcoming. A great asset to this restaurant. Thank you for making my birthday meal such a lovely experience.

I was in a party of four for a late lunch. The total cost was just over £162. Unfortunately my meal which was priced at £16.49 was not up to scratch. It was a single minute burger with cheese and a small portion of luke warm chips.Served by the manageress with a cold. Which didn't please me as I'm starting chemotherapy in a few days. The meal was so tiny that I had to scroung a few ribs off my friends. Lastly we sat there with a tablefull of dirty dishes for almost an hour. All this while the manageress sat idlely by nursing her cold.Never again thank you !Update ! A belly ache for three days afterwards.

Absolutely Appaling!!!! Lousy service, rude staff, terrible food and when asked for the bill it was thrown on the table and the terrible waitress just walked off. No please or thank you from the staff - Strongly recommend you to go elsewhere, especially if the young brown haired, rotund waitress is working!!!
Our server Jackie was lovely and helpful and full of festive cheer....food was basic pub food, but hot and tasty. This is our 2nd time there and it's a lovely quiet pub to have a catch up with friends.

The food was good and the waiting staff excellent, very friendly and welcoming. However, there were a couple of issues that appeared to be caused by poor management - a drinks offer had not been communicated out to staff (£2.50 chaser with a pint) and an email offering 33% off food did not work properly on the tills. It took a long time for the staff to sort our bill out. The manager refused to come and help, even though they were on the premises, so the staff had to work it out to our satisfaction.

This restaurant is a great venue for meeting up for lunch with friends, ten of us had a great Xmas meal on 4th December, staff were very friendly and efficient, especially Jackie who always goes the extra mile for her customers!

Really lovely staff and the food was great. Nice clean restaurant and colouring bits for kids too. We booked in advance for lunch and it was really quiet when we arrived but by the time we left it was super busy so I'd say it's a good idea to book, just incase.
