As a stupid Australian, doing the London to Brighton on a Brompton and a whim, a delightful discovery. Looked interesting from the outside, lovely inside. Very friendly staff and decent enough food, though not cheap for a chicken burger. Would definitely go back for the atmosphere.

An excellent experience. I complemented the landlord on the high quality and presentation of the food and he told me the head chef was on leave and this was the work of his/her deputy. All I can say is that he’s got a brilliant future on the strength of this form. We were well attended by the waiting and bar staff. No sign of Basil, Sybil or Manuel, or though I must admit that would have been entertaining. Well done the staff of The Bell at Outwood.

Not been for years but found that we were close by on a Sunday and rang on the off chance they had a table.Got lucky, and got lucky again with the superb roast. Beef was cooked perfectly, veg very tasty, good sized portions too. One of the best roasts I've had for quite some time.

Lovely chilli chips with chilli, cheese and pommygrante seeds. Very friendly let us stay the night in their car park in our Campervan. Will be back!

Cozy pub with friendly, helpful staff. Good honest pub grub. My partner had the loaded chilli beef fries and I had the cauliflower curry, both very tasty and good portion size. Finishing with the lemon cheese cake and delicious bumbu rum, was an excellent round off to the meal.It was unfortunate there was a very loud table sat behind us which subtracted a little from the atmosphere, but I appreciate theres not much that can be done about noisy, opinionated Tories.Vegetarian options: kerelan cauliflower curry with

Fantastic lunch today. Crayfish and avocado to start followed by shortcrust pie of chicken n chorizo with mashed pots. All clearly freshly cooked, as stated. Piping hot. Hot plates too which is always so important. Lovely friendly service. Staff could not do enough for us (2). Will definitely be returning soon, very soon.

Love this pub - we often visit with friends as it’s a really handy location for meeting up! The genuine old building gets a lot of comments from them, sitting around the log fire in winter or out in the beautiful gardenin summer. The service is always excellent and there is always a warm welcome from the team. Dog friendly too!Our only issue is with the food which, although absolutely delicious, is much too tempting to be a diet friendly lunchtime option! Never mind, there’s always tomorrow -sticky toffee pudding anyone? Custard or cream? Both please!
