Went in for coffee and toast this morning. After I'd ordered and paid £5 for a latte and one slice of toast, I was told they had no butter!! Seriously? No apology or alternative offered, so had a thick slice of toast with jam and no butter! Can't believe its so badly manged they've run out of a basic essential. Went in for coffee and decided to have some toast. After I'd paid £5 for a latte and toast, I was told there was no butter!! Seriously?? So I had a thick slice of toast with no butter, just jam, which nearly broke my teeth! No apology or alternative offered. Lots of tables left uncleared and toilet floor was soaking wet!! This branch of the well known coffee chain is situated in the Blaydon precinct of Gateshead yards from the bus station and has a large number of comfy seats all around which some locals appear to treat as a library as they had their heads in books and seemed settled for an hour or two Staff veey friendly and brought my coffee to the table as I'm disabled Handy for nearby shops and nearby rail station has frequent services to Gateshead Metrocentre Hexham and Carlisle or Newcastle...read full review
