Good pub, in a prime location. It should have been made a roaring success for years but it's struggled under the pub chain shackles lately . Not being able to get and retain a good chef has been a big issue. A pub not serving food is a no no. The new manager seems very personable and keen to make the most of the pub.
Absolutely fantastic, one of the best sunday roast dinners had in a long time with great customer service. Compliments to the chef and everyone involved. Looking forward to coming back. Would DEFINITELY recommend a trip to the Guide Post to anyone ???

Guide post has started serving food again so thought we would give it a try. Staff friendly and welcoming, variety of food choices. 3 meals; steak pie, burger and chicken skewer with salad and couscous. All very nice and chef appreciated positive feedback. Average pub food and drink prices. We will be going again.
