Great place to visit. Got lots of Newcastle united memorabilia, which is great to see. Service was good and with a smile. The drinks are nice and at moderate price. It was clean and tidy as were the toilets, can I just add the toilets are a must see, the toilet seats are strawberry ?class?. The pub is right next to St James football club, it's popular little pub. St James metro station is close so is the local bus service. Brilliant function Room upstairs, just the right size for a decent gathering of people. We thoroughly enjoyed our night for my Dad's retirement party, drinks were a very fair price and the platter was great. Highly reccomend booking The Strawberry for a party or even just popping in for a pint or two ??
