Interesting menu with plenty of choice and good value for the quality Our server was friendly and personable, able to offer advice on menu choices for food and drinks and all round did a great job but our drinks order was wrong twice which is a minus point but not one I'd take too much umbrage over.
For whatever reason the booking, confirmed to my phone, was not received at the restaurant. When we arrived at the restaurant it was closed (they close at 2.00pm on a Sunday) but after I explained about the apparent booking they 'opened' again just for us. The food, service and friendliness was exceptional!

Visited Aberaeron on a recent walking holiday. On both visits I treated myself to coffee and cake here. Both were excellent as was the service. Highly recommend visiting here if you're in the town, and look forward to going again the next time I am in the area.

A wonderful first-time stop at McCowans. Very busy and popular eatery. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Lots of choice on the extensive menu. Food was tasty and well presented and their display of cakes and pastries was a wondrous sight. A great experience. Will definitely return.

Very homely setting with pleasant staff, enjoyed our breakfast very clean and nicely cooked not at all greasy. My only issue was when we were seated upstairs we were not asked if we wanted a drink and waited for well over 15 mins, other people were coming in ordering and going upstairs and had their coffees brought and finished before we had been asked for an order. Once our order was taken, everything ran quickly and smoothly. I would certainly recommend but it may be worth asking people if they want a coffee when seating them, we came close to walking out and that would have been a shame.
