We called into the Black Lion in Aberaeron about 2:30 for some lunch. The two of us, plus our granddaughter and the dog. I asked if we were ok to bring the dog in and was told he was more that welcome. He got served before us as once we were seated they brought him a bowl of water! We ordered drinks and food. Booked Sunday lunch as heard great reviews. A plate full of flavoursome Veg and meat cooked to perfection and with homemade Yorkshire pudding even if you didn't choose the Beef option. We couldn't eat anymore but will have to return to try the puddings. Welcoming and friendly staff that added to the whole experience and lovely decor in their dining room upstairs.
A wonderful evening of sublime food and great service. A hidden gem upstairs above what looks like an everyday pub. Beautiful decor. The staff at The Black Lion were so friendly and welcoming. They really went above and beyond for our evening. Really big portions which sadly left no room for dessert! The steak was fantastic, locally sourced and cooked just how I like it.
