Found this little shop in Abergavenny as a surprise... The focaccia and lasagna we had were just so beautiful, tasty and perfect. We will go back in Abergavenny just to visit LA Mediterranea again... you need to try it.

The food and service of La Mediterranea is consistently superb. The quality of the food is exceptional, and the vast range of meals and breads are totally unique- You'd need to travel to Puglia itself to experience anything like this! As well as being convenient for customers, it's all so FRESH! We are lucky to have it on our doorstep, but if you aren't local, it's worth the travel.Domenico has always been known for generous portion sizes and value for money, and to this day he doesn't disappoint!Highly recommended!

The calzones are particularly superb with the cheese and onion option being probably the single greatest cheese and onion themed food I've ever eaten and that's saying something!I cannot recommend this wonderful business enough!

Wow, I found the shop in Abergavenny by chance whilst waiting for my son in the driving test centre nearby.He passed, so I decided to grab a few bits and bobs to make a celebratory meal that evening. I got some olives, meatballs, crespella, calzone and a selection of cream filled desserts for less than £20 that fed a family of four, with some leftovers for my lunch the next day. Absolutely superb tasting and so easy to prepare. I cannoli apologise that you can't taste these delights through the Internet. Service was excellent too.I will definitely be back to try the pizza and freshly fried arancini when I have a bit more time.
