We've driven through Abergavenny many times before but never stopped. This time we decided to stop for lunch and came across The Little Treat. We absolutely loved it. A tiny cafe with a commensurately modest menu, but just what we were after. I had a New York bagel (pastrami, cheese, pickle, mustard, you know the sort) which was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of mustard and not overpowered as can often be the case. we called in here initially as the board outside said they served loose leaf tea (my husband is a big fan) and we were not disappointed. I have a medical condition which means I struggle to control my temperature at times and this was one of them. I asked for some ice cold water and this was duly delivered and then a jug of ice cold water when I still couldn't cool down. Having been familiar and impressed with the Cosy Corner we decided to make the 30 mile trip to Abergavenny. On arrival we were met with apologies that the Little Bistro was closing early for training, when I explained we'd travelled specially, Taryn and staff made an immediate exception and re-opened especially for us, Wow, how lucky we were.
