Lovely cosy cafe with a great atmosphere. A little disappointed that they didn't have their full food menu available, but the the toasted sandwich was still delicious.

Came here because of high rating on Trip Advisor. Was OK but could do better. Service was very, very slow. Cook needs to learn that Welsh Rarebit is not the same as cheese on toast!

First visit and it won't be our last. Tasty light lunch and well looked after. Easy recommend!

We've driven through Abergavenny many times before but never stopped. This time we decided to stop for lunch and came across The Little Treat. We absolutely loved it. A tiny cafe with a commensurately modest menu, but just what we were after. I had a New York bagel (pastrami, cheese, pickle, mustard, you know the sort) which was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of mustard and not overpowered as can often be the case. Wife had Welsh Rarebit which was was nicely presented on two halves of baguette and quite generously proportioned. Both meals had a small salad. The owner, Claire, was delightful and very friendly.Would highly recommend the place and would love to return in the future.

Small but extremely welcoming. The food is first rate. Welsh Rarebit is to die for. Not be having it elsewhere, this sets the bar. Lovely staff too.
we called in here initially as the board outside said they served loose leaf tea (my husband is a big fan) and we were not disappointed. I have a medical condition which means I struggle to control my temperature at times and this was one of them. I asked for some ice cold water and this was duly delivered and then a jug of ice cold water when I still couldn't cool down. This might not seem much in the big scheme of things but you would be surprised how many cafe would not be so accommodating. Anyway we were going out for a meal later in the evening so decided to have a light lunch and just order a sandwich. No complaints from us but there sandwiches are huge and come with crisps and salad and very reasonably priced. My chicken and pesto sandwich was full to the brim with real thick cut chicken and lovely pesto. we had planned on dessert but were too full to order any so plan to gon back when we aren't dining out in the evening.

Having been familiar and impressed with the Cosy Corner we decided to make the 30 mile trip to Abergavenny. On arrival we were met with apologies that the Little Bistro was closing early for training, when I explained we'd travelled specially, Taryn and staff made an immediate exception and re-opened especially for us, Wow, how lucky we were. The service and food that followed was as amazing as we remember from its origins at the Cosy Corner. Diolch yn fawr, Taryn and team. We'll definitely be back
