2 Thomas St, Abertridwr, CaerphillyCame here today not been for quite a while. Was very quiet. Was looking forward to a nice breakfast but was arrived to find the new menu which is drastically reduced. Now serving a small selection of sandwiches toasties and jacket potatoes. They did say they sometimes have a special on such as corned beef pie or a curry. They still serve the fresh made cakes and serve nice coffees. Staff are very nice.

SPAR Abertridwr
57 Thomas St, Abertridwr, CaerphillyI have in the past given the Aber Spar a 5 star rating. Unfortunately, I think that I must have caught one of the normally friendly and helpful staff having an off day as I wasn't served with the same kind of courtesy that I have come to expect. The slim, dark - haired young lady with spectacles did not respond to my please and thank you's. An isolated incident like this, however, won't put me off shopping here.
