Met with family for a bite to eat. We hadn't seen each other in a while. We ordered 4 breakfasts at lunch time. The eggs come to us and they were runny and snotty looking. The service was appalling. A younger person with an older woman was working that day and I me tioned to her about the eggs and the looked at the plates and said look they are cooked to me! I said no they are not and she turned to me red faced and frothing almost at her mouth and repeated they look cooked to me! I've never felt so embarrassed. In front of my guests who had come to see me! I won't be going in anymore. My family were absolutely outraged at this outburst. I would rather go to plas yn dre for my coffee and light lunch when the family come to visit again. Regardless of the cost.

Cosy little spot in Bala. Dog friendly, with dog biscuits at the counter and dogs allowed inside. Coffee was good quality, and the tea came in little teapots which is always nice. We had some teacakes and Welsh cakes which were a tasty snack too. Mixture of seating- some armchairs and some hard chairs, and they were doing lunch and pizzas I think. Has outdoor seating too.

For context more good than average , nice spot - ate outside , good selection of sandwiches for lunch. All preferences catered for. Good coffee and a central spot which seems popular. Two fresh and tasty sandwiches eaten in the sunshine , all round a good experience.

The coffee and cake were good. However, I ordered my hot chocolate without cream and marshmallows. When it came with them (and I'd unknowingly paid almost £5 for the privilege), I went up to the counter and politely asked for it to be changed. I was shocked at the grumpy reception. They brought me a new one, but did not refund me for the difference, even when I mentioned it. Couldn't help but feel disappointed and it really ruined the experience.

Had a great brekkie with the kids. Pancakes hit the spot for all.

Nice pub with cosy decor, but there is also a pleasant seating outside. The food was beautifully presented and indeed very delicious, but the portions are rather small for the price you pay. Great place for dinner but you may want to have a snack beforehand! ?
