Yr Eagles Llanuwchllyn
Llanuwchllyn, BalaGreat place to visit. Cozy fireplace, friendly staff and loved the little handy shop inside the pub. We'd been to Barmouth and called in on our way back to Llangynog for a couple of drinks and a bit of shopping!Parking: For wider vehicles can be a Squeeze through drive/road next to pub to use the car park. Our 4x4 was fine just have to take it steady.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp runs from car park to the door.

Plas Yn Dre Ty Coffi
27 High St, BalaCosy little spot in Bala. Dog friendly, with dog biscuits at the counter and dogs allowed inside. Coffee was good quality, and the tea came in little teapots which is always nice. We had some teacakes and Welsh cakes which were a tasty snack too. Mixture of seating- some armchairs and some hard chairs, and they were doing lunch and pizzas I think. Has outdoor seating too.

Star Kebab House
57 High St, BalaI visit Bala quite frequent through the summer months as I kayak and fish on the lake, however I do like my takeaway and had been reluctant to go there for my lunch whilst visiting due to takeaways usually being a weekend night treat for me, I stopped by today for the first time as I was absolutely starving!popped in and I must say it was very clean with a good atmosphere, the guy kindly served me and my friend which was polite, plenty on the menu to choose from also you can see the guys cooking in front of you.I had a half pound cheese burger with chips and i couldn't complain, good taste and cooked how it should. My friend had a chicken kebab, and again that was fresh, tastay and not swimming in grease.I shall be going there again for sure, I quite fancy trying their pizzas.Thank you guyskeep it upjonesy

Sospan Fach
97 High St, BalaHilary, who is disabled, and I were staying locally in our caravan (not for the first time). A very good friend of our drove over from Sheffield and we decided to go out for Sunday lunch. We went into Bala and parked outside Sospan Fach (that we had been happy to use on a previous visit). We had a drink each, Sunday Roast (Pork), Scampi Chips and Salad and a Ham Ploughmans. All well cooked and presented, tasty, plentiful and served with a smile. We were sitting chatting about to leave when the lady brought the Sweet Menu so we had Berry Pancakes and Cream, Eton Mess and Sherry Trifle. I paid and was more than happy with the cost for three of us to have had an enjoyable meal. I cannot understand the low score and might have to try some of the other places in Bala to see how wonderful they are to have scored higher! Then again I might stick to where I have been well catered for in the past and again today. Keep up the good work.

The New China
China Treasure, Tegid St, BalaVisiting from England and staying in Bala. Order was 35 mins wait time but it was Saturday so to be expected. Food was reasonably priced and the young staff were pleasant, even letting me use their phone. Beef curry was delicious and Special fried rice was excellent. Portions were large and so impressed, having another one tonight

Pizzeria ai fresco
62 High St, BalaMy son is a fussy eater but he loved the pizza here. I had ham tagliatelle and my wife had the lasagne. We all shared a garlic bread and olives. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavours were rich, but in a good way - they're clearly not skimping on the herbs, and everything tasted fresh. The owner was a good laugh and had good banter with us and my son. An unexpected gem in a small town - highly recommended.

Bala Spice
81-83 High St, BalaDon’t know if it was because I was a bit drunk but all I know is that it was probably one of the best curries I’ve had to date. My brother remarked that his butter chicken was by far the best he’d ever had as well.

Cwrt
62 High St, BalaArrived in the area for a few days having a wonder though the little village looking for somewhere to eat saw this little pizza place. Greater by a young lad who showed us to our table and asked if we'd like anything to drink, took our food order where we waited about 15 mins for our food which came fresh and hot. Food was delicious and the cheesy garlic bread was to die for .Kid-friendliness: High chairs available
