Noisy town pub with cheap prices but then it was a rugby day. Very loud music after TV went off.

Good local pub, has a pool table. No cask ale on, looks like they may sometimes have doom bar. Usually multi tap of keg lagers, guinness and generic house spirits. Always got a crowd in though so if that's your thing this will serve you well.

We visited twice over 12 months and were so happy to see the same staff on our return. Some places can treat you slightly different as a tourist/holiday visitor. Not these two. Absolutely the most friendly welcome, will advise on local area and genuinely nice people.Food wasn't on but the drinks were great priced and refreshing! Pub and bathrooms spotless!!! Sports on TV as an added bonus.Kid-friendliness: Our teenagers were welcomed and allowed to play pool.
