Just phoned up to ask about breakfasts that they do, and was told to call back another time as they were too busy to talk to me. Lost customers there, well done staff at Lord Nelson. I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Lovely little hotel. The staff are fantastic. So friendly and helpful. The room was as clean as a whistle as was the bed linen and towels . We had everything we needed for a short stay. There’s free parking and it’s situated just a couple of minutes walk from Pontlottyn train station which is on the main line into Cardiff. The breakfast would be hard to beat. All freshly cooked and served with a smile. Perfect. A little gem . Great value. We will definitely return if visiting the area again. Highly recommended.

Had takeaway Sunday lunch here last week.. had a chicken and turkey mixed and also all meat mixed .. the food was lovely and well cooked. We enjoyed it all .. plenty of gravy in a carton as well for each meal.. ordered to takeaway st midday and all the takeaway meals were set up on the bar ready for everyone.. Great service

Small valley's hotel, friendly helpful staff, food was very tasty, I had chilli and chips, the chips were chunky and cooked to perfection and the chilli had a nice bite of heat to it. Very reasonable prices too.
