12 High St, BargoedReally friendly staff, a lovely clean cafe and excellent food. We had some omelettes which were "spot on"! Nice side salad and washed down with some coffees. No trifle available but the custard slices were a very good substitute. Needless to say a return visit is necessary for the trifle! See you all soon and thanks very much for what you do.

Heol Evan Wynne, Pontlottyn, BargoedLovely little hotel. The staff are fantastic. So friendly and helpful. The room was as clean as a whistle as was the bed linen and towels . We had everything we needed for a short stay. There’s free parking and it’s situated just a couple of minutes walk from Pontlottyn train station which is on the main line into Cardiff. The breakfast would be hard to beat. All freshly cooked and served with a smile. Perfect. A little gem . Great value. We will definitely return if visiting the area again. Highly recommended.

It can get busy though, especially during the weekend. So if you want your meal quickly during this time then I'd recommend picking it up or schedule a time for delivery.

Central Fish Bar
38 Merchant St, Pontlottyn, BargoedOn returning home from visiting my partner's mother in Rhymney we stopped for battered sausage and chips with fruity curry sauce. This was the best I've had in years, it was busy but the staff were still friendly, I find if you're polite the staff will be. Will be back next time we are that way. Merry new year.

A plus point they deliver to Blackwood , they are slightly more expensive than local kebab shops but it’s worth paying the difference as you basically get what you pay for
