“I ordered for the first time from Kali Mirch tonight in Barry. By far the best curry I’ve had since living in South Wales. After struggling to find a decent curry in Cardiff after three years living there, I spent one month in Barry and find a brilliant one. Great flavours, well made, everything was spot on. Reasonably priced and huge portions. 10/10”

“My favourite chip shop. Owned and run tirelessly for decades by Mr and Mrs Cheung, a lovely couple originally from Hong Kong. I've been eating from here for 20+ years and have never been disappointed. The chips are traditional and very tasty and the flavour has never changed. Their batter is always very crispy and their 3 in 1 special (curry rice and chips) is legendary (that sauce ). Dont be fooled by the modest decor, the food and service is very good. They serve all the things you'd expect from a traditional chip shop, the food is always hot and the cans are always cold. Highly recommended for chippy night. Cash and card accepted ;)

“Had Cheesy chips with a jumbo sausage and curry on the side and a coke. Was perfect. Not too expensive and the food was exactly what I'd want from a traditional chippy. The portion of chips wasn't huge but I did feel full after.

“For just £2, I had an excellent sized hot portion of chips that were freshly cooked and beautifully crispy. Friendly staff make this place even more exceptional and is the perfect place on Barry Island to buy your chips for a nice walk on the beach. Highly recommend.”

“Ordered through 'just eat' which,for some reason took an approximate GPS address even though my account address which had be used many times was ignored. Called the restaurant once I had realised and they were very helpful and resolved the issue in minutes. When the food arrived it was spot on and very tasty, couldn't fault the quality. Will definitely order again from Far east Chinese.”

“Only had drinks as it's under new management. Lovely view. Amazing view of Bristol channel. The atmosphere is just amazing and Bas and rest of the staff are really friendly. There is a skittle room downstairs. Locals are also really friendly.”
