It's the only pub in town so I guess one is kind of forced to give it a try ?The service was friendly and efficient, all ladies team behind the bar, they know what they are doing, for sure. The pub is a decent size but the upstairs fills in rather quickly with the locals so we had to go downstairs to eat. Service was attentive unlike some places where you are "forgotten" as soon as you placed an order. The reception downstairs was missing - that's O2 fault I guess - so I couldn't connect to the free WiFi but it was nice to have a break from my phone. There was one Vegan option ? and I didn't fancy it, God knows how many burgers I have to eat when I go out IF I want to eat anything! So I have had two sides: onion rings were nice but really oily and a tiny ramekin of Vegetables contained a spoonful of peas and carrots..As I said," it's the only pub in the village" as Davy would put it ???

Food was fantastic. My wife had gammon, chips, mushrooms, peas, onion rings and an egg and it was a really good portion. I had the bridge burger with one of the biggest beef patty I think I've ever had. Brie bites for starter were amazing. Lovely friendly staff and a lovely seat next to a roaring fire. We'll worth a visit.

My son ordered food wich he said was stunning and the young lady who served him so lovely may b she cd give Jane some tips on customer care. A lovely friendly pub with fantastic food and delicious beer. The staff were all very welcoming making every visit a pleasure. We ate dinner here three times during a week long stay in the village.Parking: There is a large free village car park that is only a 5 minute walk from the pub.

A lovely welcoming pub that serves great food and lovely beer. We ate here three times during our stay in Talgarth. I can heartily recommend the pies and the Butty Bach ale which are a great combo.
