Lovely little pub. The locals were friendly, the owners were great and the food was absolutely delicious, highly recommend if you're in that area

Just the ticket. 2 portions of Chicken Madras and our fave wine. The landlord was welcoming and friendly, finding time to have a chat.

Spent a week in the village on holiday and visited the pub 3 times. Staff are very welcoming, as were the other customers. We tried the food on one evening. It was very tasty with proper chips. Thursday night was quiz night raising money for a very good cause. We had a really good night.

Don't know the landlord's name, but what a gentleman, made us feel welcome and the drinks, food and service was perfect. Must place to go A++ from me.

Well what can I say, what a lovely rural pub. Had our 1st carvery here and what a pleasant surprise. Thoroughly enjoyed the roast. Very tasty as much as you could eat, staff really friendly chatty great atmosphere. Small dining area which I preferred so you could have a decent conversation without having to raise your voice.... Nice quiet and personal... We shall definitely be going back. Thanks to everyone for making it an enjoyable experience... Food was excellent !!!! ??

this is a little jewel of a village pub, with spectacular views of the black mountains and historic beauty of the previous blacksmiths within. This place is a destination restaurant. The landlord was so friendly and the land lady served up some of the best home cooked food. I can highly recommend the home made madras with real chips and rice. and the homemade pie, peas and chips. We were spoilt for choice and look forward to returning. Thank you for your welcoming hospitality. See you soon

Good points - serve a nice pint of Butty Bach, the young staff are very friendly and the chips are very good. However, the rest of the food is poor. We had been walking all day so I ate all my beef madras (I came to regret this later on) while my partner found his hunters chicken 'inedible'. They haven't heard of vegetables or salad (except frozen peas). This is food to fill you up, not nutrition. If you want a good meal, go elsewhere.

Very friendly pub and yummy home cooked food and local ales. Very welcoming to our little dog too and great service. Was pleased to see some nice vegan options.
