“This place is LOVELY!! The service was brilliant and the lady taking our order was informative and gave the best recommendations for the dishes and drinks to complement the food. The atmosphere was genuinely pleasant. The style and aesthetic of the restaurant was beautiful. I really recommend. All together we paid just over £50 for the food and drinks. Worth it ?”

“1st ever visit last Friday. Was a little sceptical as its not far from a large student area, and the vibrant Roath area but was very pleasantly surprised on arrival. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was lovely and it was fully booked at 9:30 when we were booked for. Nice to know of somewhere good to go within easy distance of where we visited. Marked down slightly as had a very long trip to get there and not as hungry and up for eating as could have been, so didnt try the other dishes. Will go again.”

“Very attentive service, extensive menu covering a wide variety of national cuisines. I had a Malaysian beef dish and my wife had a Sea Bass dish. Both were delicious. Our intention was to go out for a Chinese meal, but Crispy Duck offers a more varied menu than that. I would recommend that you take a look at the menu prior to arrival. Restaurant was clean and tidy, tables were nicely arranged and had comfortable seating. Front of house was attentive and helpful. I would definitely come to the Crispy Duck in the future to check out the rest of the menu.”

“My husband & I had a meal here on 1st August for my birthday on same day. We had different meals, but both were absolutely delicious! Service was excellent, everything was spotlessly clean. We used to come here years ago, but for no reason haven't been here in a very long time. But after my birthday night, I came here with my friend for her birthday, 6 nights later! That too was a great night everything 10/10 again!
Then tonight, we had a takeaway delivered, again, excellent service, food piping hot & delicious.
I will definitely be recommending The Spice Island as the best place to go!
