Great local, that I always visit when in the area. However, we were disappointed on Sunday 2/7/23 as I called in the morning to check food service times, and was told they were serving until 9.00 pm. We arrived hungry at around 7.00 pm, to be told that the kitchen was shut! Disappointing to say the least, and not the usual good service we've come to expect.
The food was absoloutley gorgeous ... i had fishand chips with mushy peas .. bareley anuthing left on plate .. think the 2 others had burgers .. aa again barely anything left on the plates ..Parking: Think u had to pay to park the others had to do the same ..

Lovely village pub, good atmosphere & friendly, helpful staff. We had Katsu chicken with rice, really delicious.Only complaint being that most desserts came with vegetarian or vegan toppings no real custard. Therefore the reason I only gave 5 stars for the food.
